HAASTS BLUFF

Haasts Bluff, also known as Ikuntji, is a small remote Aboriginal community located approximately 230 kilometers west of Alice Springs in the Northern Territory, Australia. Situated on the traditional lands of the Pintupi people, the community is part of the MacDonnell Region and lies near the western edge of the West MacDonnell Ranges. Haasts Bluff is known for its rich cultural heritage, connection to the land, and vibrant Indigenous art scene, particularly through the Ikuntji Artists center. The area is characterized by its arid desert landscape, significant historical sites, and a strong sense of community spirit. With limited infrastructure and a population of around 200 people, Haasts Bluff remains a close-knit and culturally important location in Central Australia.
