NORWICH PARK

Norwich Park is a small, former mining town located in the Isaac Region of Central Queensland, Australia, approximately 30 kilometers southeast of Dysart. Established in the 1970s to support the nearby Norwich Park coal mine, the suburb was primarily inhabited by mine workers and their families. However, with the closure of the mine in 2012, Norwich Park experienced a significant decline in population, and many homes were removed or relocated. Today, it is largely a ghost town with limited infrastructure and residents, serving as a reminder of the region's mining history. Its remote location and sparse amenities make it a quiet, rural area with ties to Queensland's coal industry.
