Nicholls

The federal electorate of Nicholls, located in northern Victoria, encompasses a diverse region that includes significant agricultural areas, regional towns, and parts of the Goulburn Valley. Established in 2019, it replaced the former electorate of Murray and includes key towns such as Shepparton, Echuca, and Kyabram. The electorate is known for its strong ties to agriculture, particularly fruit growing, dairy farming, and food processing industries. Nicholls has historically been a safe seat for the National Party, reflecting its rural and regional character. The electorate faces challenges such as water management, drought resilience, and economic diversification, while also benefiting from a strong sense of community and regional identity.
